I was born in Bogota , Colombia. I did my PhD in Australia under the supervision of Mark A. Ragan  at the University of Queensland. Anyway, I have been traveling most of my life, sometimes I feel I grew up in between immigration. I have been at many many many places and have actually lived in several countries. 

I am interested in Bioinformatics, Semantic Web, ontologies, Knowledge Engineering, SOAs, grid technology, database and ontology interoperability, biomedical information, Semantic e-government, HCI, virtual communities of practice, user interface design, intelligent interfaces, cognitive support, designing children’s technology.
